Bathroom Hutch

For over a week now, I have been working here and there on a bathroom hutch that I swiped for 8 bucks at a garage sale. I removed the glass and plan to put in chicken wire...but not just yet. I painted the cabinet and I hate it. I was going for a white-chippy-painted -a-ton-of-times look. This is what I ended up with...

So I'm back to the drawing board. I could keep stressing distressing, add a few more layers of paint or just slap on a coat of Duck Egg Blue and call it a wrap. Thoughts are welcomed.

Stay tuned....

Hello Elyse, Perhaps you can dry brush more of the creamy white over to tone down the distress - it is a great piece. I understand - sometimes I go over and over something until it feels right. So glad you stopped by - I am your newest follower!
Lovely posts - love what you've found at IKEA! The closest one to us is 2 hours away!
Have a great weekend,
Kathy

Thanks ladies! I think I will just leave it for now and give it some more thought. I will let you know what I come up with.

Kathy, I am about 2.5 hours away but make the trip every few months or so. It's an event when we go and so much fun! We are moving into a new house in a few months and will be going back to put in a furniture order. I just recently realized that their furniture is more expensive online than in the store.
