TJMaxx Mirror Makeover

I've learned something recently: Don't be afraid to purchase something new and then make it over. For a long time, I only looked for old pieces of furniture and decor to spruce up and mostly I still do. However, sometimes you can't find what you're looking for or buying new may be a better option.  For example, my boyfriend bought this mirror in the clearance section at TJMaxx. With a coat of Duck Egg Blue and a little bit of Rub'n'Buff, it looks like an old shabby chic mirror!

Before:
Cheap plastic like material with an aged bronze color

One coat of Duck Egg Blue, ASCP

Light distressing and Gold Rub'n'Buff

So keep an open mind when you're perusing the Clarence aisle at your local home decor store. Just because it's new doesn't mean you can't change it!

Beautiful! You've turned something a little cheap looking into something really pretty.
