My Summer Threads

Drum roll please.....today's Splish Splash Blog Bash theme is Summer Threads! I thought I would awkwardly show you a little bit of my own summer style (or lack of style). I don't have a lot of pictures of what I've been wearing lately, so bear with me, this is an eclectic bunch of photos!

Oh, side note: I HATE TO SHOP FOR CLOTHES.

 

So there you have it, a taste of my summer wardrobe. I pretty much wear dresses everyday with big pieces of jewelry and wedges or boots. I may not be wearing much of anything starting tomorrow...we have several days of 104 degrees and 100% humidity facing us. Ugh.

Summer DIY: Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Makeover

 Welcome back to Splish Splash Blog Bash, hosted by Tattered and Inked.  Today's theme is Summer DIY, so I thought I would share with you a set of furniture that I recently revamped. 

Here is a picture of the original spray stain:

To freshen up this furniture, I wiped down all 3 pieces with a damp rag, painted them with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and used clear wax as a protective top coat. I chose Paris Grey and Old White. For distressing, I used a fine grit sanding block. 

And guess what? They are both for sale! Nothing wrong with a little summer cash!
